Better Conflict Resolution
All organisations experience levels of workplace conflict; managing conflict can be extremely costly and resource intensive to resolve internally. There is a substantial body of research that demonstrates a mediated solution to disputes is more effective and less costly, in both human and organisational terms than resorting to formal grievance or investigation processes. Our workplace mediation services can resolve even the most difficult disputes quickly, effectively and with as little disruption as possible.
We deal with a wide range of cases including issues relating to: relationship breakdowns, personality clashes, manager – employee disputes, allegations of bullying and harassment or discrimination preferably before but occasionally because of an investigation. We have experience of cases where mediation may be required due to the breakdown of a contractual relationship between an employee and employer. Our mediators achieve a resolution in over 90% of cases we deal with.
What is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential and ‘without prejudice’ process that helps parties to discuss issues, guided by an impartial mediator, to find an agreed way forward, the outcome of which is captured in a Written Agreement. Mediation works because it helps people find practical, future focussed, solutions that are agreed by both parties to return them to an amicable and professional working relationship.
A fully accredited and experienced mediator will help each party to get clarity about the issues and how they feel. The mediator is impartial and non-judgemental. Their role is to facilitate a conversation which moves towards a mutually agreed and future focussed outcome that feels fair to everyone. A full explanation of the mediation process is outlined in our ‘Information to Parties’ guide.

Mediation Process – Our Undertaking To You
All our mediators are trained, accredited and adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
As part of the service we provide a 12 month after care package for the parties and employer to support a sustained outcome.
A two-party mediation generally lasts for one full day, albeit we charge for 1.5 days to allow for pre and post meeting work. However, in more complex cases or in cases involving more than two parties, the process may last for two or three days. Conversely, in simpler cases mediation can be shorter and take the form of a facilitated conversation which may only take half a day.
The cost of a two-party mediation starts at £800 per day. For more complex or lengthy mediations involving more than 2 parties we are happy to quote following discussion with you as to the solution you require. For further information please contact us.
